Navigation
- Calculates and displays the optimum route, including an overview map of the entire route, and the estimated time of arrival based on traffic conditions.
- Clear, turn-by-turn map of the route and maneuvers guide the user towards the destination, while monitoring traffic congestion levels.
- The voice-prompted navigator automatically notifies the user of the upcoming turn and reroutes if the user missed a turn.
- Look-ahead screens allow the user to preview all upcoming maneuvers and listen to all upcoming announcements, in advance.
- Detour option enables the user to get route around traffic congestion or specific roads.
Local Search
- Quickly finds nearby restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, movie theaters, hotels, hospitals, and other POI using access to a database of more than 14 million locations.
- Optimized interface lets users enter just the first few letters to call up favorite locations and recent searches.
Movies & Events
- Displays show times, critic’s ratings, and other details for movies, concerts, plays, and other social events around user’s GPS location or another location.
- Displays results for the current day, upcoming weekend, or a future date specified by the user.
- With a single click the user can navigate to the movie theater or the event venue, and also search for local parking, restaurants, ATMs, or other POI around those locations.
Place Messaging
- Receives place messages as geo-coded locations from other mobile phones, companion LBS website, and directory assistance (4-1-1), and with a single click by the user, gets a route to the location, or a map of the location.
- Users can add optional gretting as they send place messages to others, such as the meeting time, or impressions about the place. Place messages send during navigation include and ETA, as the default greeting.
- Places are stored in recent searches, available for quick future retrieval.
Maps, Traffic, and Weather
- Quickly displays maps of an address, airport, POIs or one of your Favorite places.
- Pinpoints the current location, maps every turn of a trip, tracks the progress.
- Displays local traffic conditions on a map, including traffic incidents.

Interface with Other Applications
- Using the appropriate APIs, third-party developers can interface their application to a branded version of AtlasBook Navigator, enabling users to navigate to, map, or search for a POI around addresses in other applications.
- Using the NAVBuilder SDK, other applications can provide navigation, local search, and mapping sessions within their own application.
AtlasBook Navigator Website and Synchronization
- A customized AtlasBook Navigator website allows users to view locations on a map and plan their trip.
- Recent Searches and Favorites folders on the AtlasBook Navigator website can be synchronized with the same folders on an AtlasBook Navigator mobile phone.
