Networks In Motion Announces European Subsidiary

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., May 15, 2007

Networks In Motion (NIM), the award-winning wireless navigation and local search company, today announced a new European subsidiary, Networks In Motion AB, headquartered in Sweden to offer the European mobile phone market GPS navigation, local search and other location-enabled services.

Recently appointed Christopher Kingdon, managing director of Networks In Motion AB, will oversee the efforts of a newly hired European staff in the offices located at Olof Palmes Gata 13, Stockholm, Sweden. The headquarters will include business development, engineering and product management teams. Additional staff will handle business development and sales from other European countries.

Prior to Networks In Motion, Kingdon chaired the joint ANSI-ETSI sub working group, which standardized LBS for GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications). Most recently, Kingdon started the Ericsson Mobile Positioning System product unit. Previous positions held by Kingdon include president and CTO for mobilePosition AB, vice president of Openwave Location Unit, and founding member of the Location Interoperability Forum Ltd. Kingdon has also served on the board of the SMS Forum Ltd. and worked on handset business development at Teleca AB.

Research firm Berg Insight forecasts that revenues from mobile LBS in the European market will grow by 34 percent annually to reach EUR 622 million (approximately $809 million USD) in 2010. In addition, the firm forecasts there will be 18 million users subscribing to location billing plans and navigation will account for 48 percent of mobile LBS revenues by the same year.
