Sales Director, Latin America

Position Description:

The Sales Director will be responsible for the generation of revenue through the consumer and business customers of wireless carrier partners in Latin America. Identification of and gaining access to the key decision makers within the carrier marketing organizations, both corporate and field, will be critical. Presenting the corporate vision, developing a strategic partnership, and gaining the authorization to grow new revenue opportunities will be key benchmarks for success. The Sales Director will have responsibility for all aspects of negotiating and closing sales. A key responsibility is planning strategies for market penetration within the Carrier base of customers in Latin America. This includes collaborating on the company’s sales goals, and developing and executing the plan/strategy to meet those goals. The position will develop and drive negotiation strategies and tactics, and coordinate all the necessary internal and external resources to lead the account planning and solution selling process driving our carrier partners to invest in the NIM strategy, promote the NIM solutions, and train their sales people to focus on NIM’s value-added services at the point of sale.  This also involves implementing channel sales efforts at partners in Latin America.

The Sales Director will be proactive in their assigned accounts, interfacing with customers to help them understand the benefits of integrating the company’s products into their design requirements. A critical component of this position is the ability to understand the company’s products, the customer’s needs and how they relate. Individuals will be responsible for communicating customers’ requirements to the company’s development team and management.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years sales and/or business development experience in selling mobile software applications or services to wireless carriers.
  • Track record of success selling to carriers in a revenue-share model with penetration rate increases.
  • Extensive knowledge of cellular and mobile application software markets and able to represent the company’s software solutions with confidence.
  • Candidate must have sufficient technical background to be comfortable explaining company’s client and server architecture.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to function effectively within a highly competitive market and to consistently provide product successes.
  • Ideal candidates will have developed relationships, especially in the marketing groups, with at least some major wireless carriers in Latin America.
  • Proven ability to identify and leverage potential business and product/service opportunities.
  • Prefer experience working in both large and small company environments.
  • Must be very hands-on, and willing to “do what it takes” to get the job done, including creation and maintenance of power point presentations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing is preferred.
