Core Staff Developer

Required Skills: C/C++, Java, Algorithm Analysis and Design

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain NIM’s core technology libraries.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the NIM Platform
  • Become an expert on LBS software technology.
  • Work closely with Architects and Product Managers to define the future of NIM’s applications
  • Translate customer needs into real and robust applications.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.
  • Work with other developers to set standards and define best practices for use of NIM’s core technologies as well as general coding and design.
  • Share the knowledge and work experience you've gained working in the related industry.
  • Keep up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years hands-on development experience in a commercial software development environment.
  • Experience with all phases of product development lifecycle, including prototyping, development, test, product release and sustaining engineering.
  • Extensive experience developing non-trivial algorithms beyond integration of third-party technology
  • Extensive experience in C or C++.
  • Experience with Java (preferably on a mobile platform)
  • Strong working knowledge of XML, threads, and debugging practices.
  • Experience with network programming and protocol development
  • Experience in the LBS and/or Mobile software industry.
  • Experience with Python is a plus.
  • Desire to engage in extremely challenging assignments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong collaborative skills.
  • Self-managed, proactive work style. Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Bachelor´s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, advanced degree is a plus.
