Client SW Developer – Mobile Device Porting
Responsibilities: Mobile Device Porting
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess mobile devices to determine scope and complexity of application porting effort
- Port client-side application code to multiple mobile devices
- Add new features and GUI elements as required for mobile applications
- Work closely with release team to prepare internal builds for release to QA
- Work closely with QA to resolve bugs or escalate to client development team
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year hands-on development experience in a commercial software development environment using C / C++ or Java.
- Experience in using one of the mobile platforms: J2ME, Windows Mobile, BREW, or Symbion.
- Proficiency with Object-Oriented design methodology.
- Mobile device porting experience preferred.
- Experience in programming dynamic and advanced graphics mobile applications helpful.
- Familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Ability to work well with developers, test engineers, and non-engineering personnel.
- Self-managed proactive work style and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
